The background music, scenario, and the sounds of the fight itself, icking and punching makes you remember of this old arcade game, Street Fighter 2. Although this version of Street Fighter doesn’t give you the option to choose the characters, it’s still a good version, and it’s not easy to win this game. The cool, and calm by nature Ryu, is your player, and you’ll be fighting Sagat, the big and angry guy. There are 5 rounds, and there is no time limit.
Use the directional keys to move, (when you start) right to move forward, left to move backwards, up to jump, and down to duck. Press “a” for short punch, “s” for long punch and “d” for a different kind of punch, to kick use “z”, “x” and “c” for kicks.
Tips:
During the fight, there will be 2 colors in your health bar if you get hit, red and yellow. The yellow bar is your real health, while the red one is a reserve health that you can recover. You’re only able to recover the red health if you don’t get hit while the other bar is progressing. Its easier to understand during the fight, but this is a good tip to recover health, and to take advantage of your opponent if he is low. With his long arms, and legs, Sagat is a tuff fighter when up-close, you don’t want to get near him, or else his upper-cuts will knock you down, because they cost plenty of health.
Always defend yourself by using backwards, this is very helpful and decisive for your success. Sagat isn’t very good in the air, except with his upper-cuts, and so it’s easy do defend and attack while in the air. To don’t get hit by his special fire balls, do the upper-cut trick mentioned below, or jump/duck depending where the special is coming from. If you jump, while in the air press the kick key “c” as it seems to be the one that removes more health.
Use combos and special moves, in the right moments, here are some combos if you don’t know any:
- forward, forward + “s” and “d” – fire ball
- backwards and down + “s” and “d” – upper cut
- backwards and down + “x” and “c” – rotating kick
- forward and “s” - grab and kick with the knee, only do this trick if you’re near Sagat
- forward and “d” – special kick, only do this trick if you’re near Sagat
- forward and “s” – elbow hit
- forward and “c” – special kick
- forward and “c” - special kick (different from the last one) if you’re near Sagat
