This is a Presidential Knock-out, a fight game with 2 political celebrities, George Bush versus John Kerry.
The White House is the usual scenario of this American debate, and this is more then political, it also gets physical. Punches are the way to go in Bush vs Kerry, and there are 4 types you can choose from: Left Upper-Cut, Right Upper-Cut,. Right Jab and Left Jab. With a combination of all this, the fight can get pretty nasty, and blood is a minor presence. During the game, you can throw your opponent to the ground depending of the combination of punches you use.
You can choose your opponent, either Bush or Kerry, and you can also pick easy, medium, or hard as the difficulty level. There are 3 rounds, but you just need to win 2 round to be the winner. If the game is tied 1-1, then there will be a final third round. After the rounds you’ll be able to see your Punch Score, this may vary depending on the type of quality punches you throw, and the ones that hit the target.
To play, use “a”, “s”, “d” and “w” for the punches, and space to defend or to gain energy. For every punch you throw, or every punch you get hit, a small amount of energy is reduced. When you’re fighting, you can see your energy bar on the left side. On the top it shows the score for each punch, which round is being played, and the life you and your opponent have left.
Tips:
If you press any kind of punch, and don’t release the key, it makes your player keep punching, non-stop. This might be a way to win the fight, but you also waste a lot of energy, and with low energy your punches aren’t powerful enough to make a big damage, only minimal, this also makes the score or each punch lower.
The graphics are very good, each player resembles the person in real life, and the motion of dodging each punch is also good. A nice way to remove stress for a few minutes!
